Ribbon Book Class

This is an interesting project using hand painted papers, antique buttons for closures, and wonderful little embellishments to decorate our one of a kind, handmade book. This will be an enjoyable project that you can use for drawings, calligraphy, and photographs. It will also make wonderful gifts for people for birthdays, anniversaries, and graduations. Come and join us for a day of creative fun at my studio in Clawson, Michigan on Saturday, July 20, 2013. If you would like to register or if you have questions please contact Gail at 248-288-2188 or through her website at  http://www.gailslighthousecards.com

Turkish Paper Marbling Workshop

In the 15th century, Persians and Turks used a thickened water and combed their designs in a process called "Ebru". It spread around Europe but it was not until the 19th century that written instructions about the marbling process was available. The craft became an obscure book art in this country until the craft movement in the 1970's.
I have been paper marbling for 20 years and teach marbling classes at my studio. If you would like to try the fun art of Paper Marbling please contact me at my website at http://www.gailslighthousecards.com
